A few years ago, I took my wife and two kids on a trip to Walt Disney World. I was surprised to find that planning the trip was just as fun and exciting as actually going on the trip!
My excitement grew as I spent time researching things from the spots to find "Hidden Mickeys" across the parks, or uncovering a Disney World "secret menu"
A few years ago, I took my wife and two kids on a trip to Walt Disney World. I was surprised to find that planning the trip was just as fun and exciting as actually going on the trip!
My excitement grew as I spent time researching things from the spots to find "Hidden Mickeys" across the parks, or uncovering a Disney World "secret menu" to even just knowing where to go to get the delicious turkey legs sold at various booths/carts throughout the day. I found enjoyment learning each bit of information.
Also, in this pre-trip research, I was able to look up the rides (online) at each park, and understand which ones my kids would be able to ride. My family and I would preview those rides on the Internet to build their excitement, as well as gauge which ones they thought might be a little too scary.
My favorite part of the trip planning was looking at which hotel would best suit us as a family. Asking questions like "Is it close to the parks?" and "What kind of restaurant/food options are available?" or "What room options do we have?" and "Can you see the park fireworks from the room?" And then of course, "Which hotel has the best pool?"
